A Home Information Pack in connection with residential house sales is now mandatory for all properties and current regulations state that a HIP must be commissioned before a property can be marketed for sale.

The regulations require various documents to be prepared and included in the pack:

  • Home Energy Report
  • Evidence of the legal owner and details of the property
  • Local Authority Search
  • Water & Drainage Search

The pack must be made available as soon as a house is offered for sale on the market ~ all such documents and the provision of the results of various searches being incurred at the Seller's expense.
